Foundations of Stewardship invites treasurers, finance committees, and pastors to reframe money as a spiritual matter, connect budgets to calling, and establish trust-building policies that strengthen your church’s witness. Drawing from The Heart of Stewardship, The Practice of Faith (Retreat 1) and supported by ECLC tools, this experience grounds your team in prayer, clear practices, and shared purpose. Together we cultivate language, rhythms, and safeguards that honor God’s vision and restore confidence in financial life. Offered as a one-day retreat or two half-days, Foundations is ideal for leaders stepping into roles or congregations seeking a healthy reset.

Building a Foundation for Faithful Financial Ministry

The Sacred Process

  • Money as a Spiritual Matter — Reframe finances through prayer and Scripture; name the emotions and habits that shape stewardship.

  • Calling Over Budget — Map budgets to mission using simple tools that make your vision plain and actionable.

  • Reframing Financial Mindsets — Move from scarcity to abundance in how you plan, communicate, and invite generosity.

  • Bylaws, Policies, & Trust — Review governance essentials (e.g., dual signatures, conflict of interest) that protect leaders and resources.

  • Aligning Practices with Calling — Use the CER(D) lens (Calling–Energy–Resources–Discernment) to align day-to-day procedures with God’s vision.

Format Options:

  • One-day retreat (6–8 hours, in person or hybrid Zoom)

  • Two half-day sessions (scheduled 1–2 weeks apart)
