Guided Learning
for Ministry Teams

Bring your church or ministry's governing body together for facilitated learning in governance, leadership, and financial stewardship. Church Training Center offers two book-based programs—Embracing Our Call and The Ministry of Money—with Comprehensive and shorter Foundations formats. Each program provides opportunities for shared reflection, guided discussion, and practical application to your ministry's responsibilities.

Two Programs for Your Governing Body

GOVERNANCE & DISCERNMENT

Embracing Our Call

Explore the spiritual and practical responsibilities of church governance. Your team considers its Calling, the relationship of leadership and structure to mission, covenantal trust, fiduciary oversight, stewardship, and faithful decision-making.

Designed for governing-body members, pastors, and other leaders who share responsibility for the ministry’s direction and oversight.

FINANCIAL LEADERSHIP & STEWARDSHIP

The Ministry of Money

Explore financial leadership as a shared ministry responsibility. Participants examine financial reports, mission-aligned budgeting, finance-team roles, internal controls, responding to financial concerns, and faithful stewardship.

Designed for treasurers, finance committee members, pastors, and governing-body leaders who exercise financial oversight.

Choose Your Learning Pathway

Each program offers a continuous Comprehensive experience or a shorter Foundations starting point with an optional continuation. Each pathway follows its own curriculum sequence.

How Your Team Learns Together

Weekly Facilitated Sessions

Each week, Keith Clark-Hoyos facilitates a one-hour Zoom gathering that includes centering, guided dialogue, and group reflection. Discussion questions are adapted to your ministry’s circumstances, helping participants connect the reading with their shared leadership responsibilities.

Reading and Reflection Between Sessions

Participants read selections from the program book, consider weekly dialogue questions, and interact with fellow team members between meetings. The book is included for each participant. For the Foundations pathway, it is provided with Part A.

Your team is invited into its own private space within the Effective Church Leadership Community, where learning and conversation continue between sessions.

Within this space, participants have access to:
